Happy Red Ribbon Week!
This week, our students celebrated Red Ribbon Week with the theme: “Life is a Puzzle—Solve It Drug Free!”
Each day, we talked about Beginning with the End in Mind and how every safe, healthy choice is a piece of the puzzle that builds a bright future.
A big thank you to Mr. Montana Teems with the Jasper Fire Department and Lana Mayfield and Kennedy Whipple with Northside Junior Health Advocates for your generous donations! You helped students make fun and meaningful connections like:
🔥 “Ignite your potential—stay drug free like our Fire Heroes!”
🩹 “Clean minds, clean hands, and healthy choices are like Band-Aids—they protect you!”
We also appreciate Jana Champion and Deputy Roach for speaking at our Red Ribbon Rally—reminding students that today’s choices shape tomorrow’s future. Thank you to everyone who helped our Hawks celebrate living drug-free!

Thank you for supporting our Fall Scholastic Book Fair! It's been fabulous!
The fair will close tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. Each grade level will have a final opportunity to shop the fair tomorrow. Here's the link to our Fair's Home Page if you would still like to set-up an e-Wallet or shop the online portion (any orders ship directly to your home) of the fair:

From digging out squishy seeds to shaping geometric Play-Doh pumpkins and enjoying a sweet frosted pumpkin snack, these little Hawks had a blast with their hands-on pumpkin adventures!

This fabulous fourth-grader was selected by Deputy Roach as our Campus Law Enforcement Student of the Month! He praised her bright smile and friendly, helpful attitude toward others. Anvee is showing what it means to be a great leader! Congratulations!

Our next Buffalo Luke's Spirit Night is right around the corner. It's next Tuesday, November 4th! We hope to see you there!

These students earned their tickets by demonstrating Habit 2: “Begin with the End in Mind,” in our Leader in Me program. They’re planning ahead, setting goals, and showing what it means to be proactive leaders! #LeaderInMe

Red Ribbon Week is October 27th- 31st!
We will be practicing Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind during Red Ribbon Week. Our theme is Life is a Puzzle, Solve it Drug Free. We have been talking about the "end in mind" is their future, and the puzzle pieces of life are the choices we make every day. Life is a puzzle, and every piece counts. Drugs are a puzzle piece that just doesn't fit in the plan of a happy, healthy future. Making healthy, safe choices and solving the puzzle of life drug-free, helps us stay strong, focused, and build an exciting future one piece at a time.

Multiplicative Comparison is a way of comparing two quantities by determining how many times larger or smaller one is than the other, using multiplication or division. Today was filled with lots of laughter, math talk, and fun while playing the game Wacky Comparisons.

She has mastered all of her kindergarten high-frequency words and earned a special trip to our Book Vending Machine! Way to go, Ella — your hard work and love of reading really shine!

Mrs. Richards will expand her “Moving in Music” manipulatives. Mrs. Shealey will add wobble stools to help students stay focused (and give fidgeting a fun outlet!).
Thank you, Bent Tree, for being an amazing community partner and supporting our educators!
The Scholastic Book Fair truck has arrived and we are busy setting up for the start of the fair tomorrow! Students will visit with their classroom on their scheduled day.
We welcome families to our Book Fair during our Family Event on Friday, 10/24/2025. See you soon!
