Learning in 4th Grade!

Fourth graders in Mrs. Connelly's ELA class spent the week learning independent reading expectations and practicing working together in collaborative groups. They're off to a great start!

The Hawk Award is on the move! 🦅

Coach Black is excited to pass the first Hawk Award of this school year to our amazing bookkeeper, Susie Chapman!

After our remodel, Susie spent countless hours getting our building back in shape—unpacking boxes, putting up bulletin boards, and making sure every classroom had the supplies needed for a great start to the year. She also keeps our classrooms covered when staff members are absent.

Thank you, Susie, for always going above and beyond for our school! We appreciate you!

All parents and guardians are invited to join us for our annual Title I meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m.

Also, we hope to see fourth-grade families tonight at 6:30 p.m. for the Fourth Grade Curriculum Night.

Mrs. Abbott’s kindergarten class is a family! They read "Our Class Is a Family" by Shannon Olsen and talked about how each of us is unique, special, and an important part of our classroom family. Students celebrated their uniqueness with special Play-Doh and a family bracelet!

We hope to see second-grade and third-grade families at Curriculum Night tonight! Second Grade: 6:00 p.m. Third Grade: 6:30 p.m.

As our oldest students, our fourth graders set the example for our younger Hawks. Today, they reviewed positive cafeteria habits and respectful behavior as part of our Leader in Me initiative. We look forward to seeing them lead with kindness, responsibility, and great manners!

Need after-school care? We've got you covered!

Our after-school program is available for students from 2:30–6:00 p.m. The cost is $7 per day when prepaid or $9 per day if paid at pick-up.

Our youngest students were so excited to pick out a backpack that's all their own for the first day of school. A huge thank you to the Hallyboy Foundation for partnering with us to provide backpacks for all of our Hawks in kindergarten through fourth grade!

Students will get to choose their own backpack when they arrive at school on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. We are so grateful for this generous support of our students!
