After reading "Bean Thirteen," Mrs. Bryant's 4th grade math class worked collaboratively to explore prime and composite numbers. Students created models to represent specific numbers, helping them define and better understand the difference between the two. Great job combining math and teamwork!

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, kindergartners and first-graders learned about the world's most popular sport – soccer! Known as ‘fútbol’ in Spanish, the sport is an integral part of Hispanic culture. After reading "Pelé, King of Soccer" by Monica Brown, students were inspired by Pelé, who became a soccer legend as the first man to score 1,000 goals. They then practiced some fancy footwork in the media center. Here are Mrs. Roper's kindergartners and Mrs. Smith's first graders working hard on their soccer drills!
