Congratulations to Mrs. Childers!
She is our newest Hawk Award recipient!
Mrs. Justice passed the Hawk to Amy Childers, sharing:
“She is an amazing teacher who shows heart and dedication each and every day. She is a fabulous leader on her team.”
As one of our original Hawks when Hill City first opened, this veteran teacher continues to make a tremendous impact. This recognition is well deserved — way to go, Mrs. Childers!

Our fourth grade students had an exciting and educational trip to the Pickens County Courthouse on Friday!
They heard from Judge Weaver, Judge Sosebee, District Attorney Wood, and several other court officials who took the time to share their roles and answer questions. Students even had the unique opportunity to observe a real hearing in session!
A big thank-you to Judge Weaver for welcoming our students and providing a wonderful Chick-fil-A lunch. What a memorable day of learning in our community! #PositivePickens

A First for Pickens County!
For the first time ever, talented students from all three elementary schools are coming together to kick off the holiday season with a festive medley of classic Christmas songs!
Our very own Hill City Harmonious Hawks will join The TrebleMakers of Tate and The Harmony Music Makers on Sunday, December 7th, at 4:30 p.m. in front of the Courthouse—just before the Night of Lights Parade in downtown Jasper.
Come out and support our young musicians as they share the spirit of the season with the community!

We are extending the Christmas Compassion Collection that will provide care bags for the residents at Wildwood Nursing home. So far, we have only received a few items and would love to be able to provide each of the residents with some warm socks, a few sugar-free candies, chapstick, and toiletries. Please help us show kindness and compassion this Christmas by sharing a small donation item from the flyer. Your compassion is greatly appreciated.

These turkeys have gone undercover!
Ms. Sultan’s math students were on a top-secret mission to disguise their turkeys and keep them safe from becoming Thanksgiving dinner. Using their counting skills, each student added exactly 50 items to help their turkey go incognito.

As we head out to enjoy a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, we wanted to share a little joy! Inspired by "Balloons Over Broadway" by Melissa Sweet—the true story of how the iconic balloons were created for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade—our kindergarten puppeteers treated us to their very own parade. It’s sure to become another Hill City classic! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us!
