Learning is always extra sweet in Pre-K!
Mrs. Anderson's class wrapped up their author study on Laura Numeroff by reading "If You Give a Pig a Pancake." Students had fun naming the characters and identifying the setting before working together to create their own chart story: If You Give a Student a Pancake...
They picked their favorite toppings and quickly realized that if you give a Pre-K student syrup… they’ll definitely need to wash their hands!

Tick Tock! What Time Is It? ⏰
Ms. Sultan’s first grade math students are learning to tell time to the hour and half-hour! Their analog clocks have a special number line that snaps out, helping them count by fives. This hands-on tool makes it easy to see how a straight number line can curve into a circular clock—building strong number connections along the way!

Ooh, that's my favorite part too! Let's share a favorite part of a book we are reading today! #DragonsLoveReading

In "Hair Love," by Matthew Cherry, Zuri's dad struggles to create the perfect hairstyle for his daughter. Just like him, we all face challenges—especially when learning something new! Our first graders visited the media center and took on the challenge of sewing! It may have included a few knots, dropped needles, and twisted yarn, but they persevered and had fun trying to learn this valuable life skill.

Day #6 of our Dragons Love Reading challenges you to share a story with a family member or friend. You are a great reader, so read a favorite book aloud!
