"Moo-velous" Math Practice!
Ms. Sultan’s 1st graders have officially adopted a cow! Her name is Raven, and she lives on a farm in Madison, GA.
Each month, students receive virtual updates—complete with photos and videos—to follow Raven's growth. They’re even estimating her height from month to month as part of their learning!
A big thank you to the Adopt-A-Cow program through Discover Dairy for making this experience possible!
It’s Dino-vember in the Media Center!
Our PreK and Kindergarten students learned about the mighty Apatosaurus — a dinosaur that stood 19 feet tall, stretched as long as a bowling lane, and even used its tail like a whip to keep predators away! Here are students from Mrs. Tippens', Mrs. Dilbeck's, and Mrs. Anderson's classrooms getting hands-on with snap cubes to measure dino lengths and compare which dinosaur was the biggest.
They also took time to reflect on what they’re thankful for and to honor our heroes through special Veterans Day activities.
And a big shoutout to the Unit 3 Reading Log Winners for showing dedication and a true love of reading! Way to go, 4th graders!
Mrs. Allen’s Pre-K students are busy disguising their turkeys — and they couldn’t be any cuter!
Kindergarten is “gobbling up” the competition and is currently in first place! Will they take home the win for the third year in a row? Stay tuned to find out!

These students were nominated for practicing putting first things first by doing what we MUST do before doing what we would LIKE to do. This means we have to stay focused, minimize our distractions, and do the important things first, like work before play. Keep practicing those fabulous leadership skills!! #LeaderInMe

After careful consideration and out of an abundance of caution for the expected temperatures tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision not to take our students to the Veterans' Day Parade. Please know that Hill City Elementary supports and loves our Veterans, and we hope to try again next year. Thank you for your understanding.

We’re excited for our Hawks (K–4th) to attend the Veterans Parade in downtown Jasper next Tuesday. However, students must have a signed permission slip to participate.

A Spook-tacular Time on Main Street!
What a fantastic evening of trick-or-treating on Friday! Mrs. Chapman and Mrs. Hardison had a blast passing out candy and inviting everyone to vote for their favorite Hill City pumpkins.
Pumpkin Contest Winners:

With a total of 943 votes cast, the crowd was amazed by all the creativity and festive pumpkin designs!
