About Me
I would like to welcome you to my page and encourage you to check back for weekly newsletters and events. I was born here in Jasper, GA where my husband and I currently live with our dog Ollie and cat Jinxy. Some of my hobbies include reading, shopping, going to the beach, pool and spending time with my niece and nephew.
Education
I received my Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from North Georgia College and State University in 2002. I later received my Master's degree from Brenau University in 2006. I completed my Specialist degree in elementary education from Brenau in 2012.
Teaching Experience
The 2023-2024 school year will bring me into my 22nd year of teaching. My teaching career began at Hill City. I have previously taught kindergarten for eight years. This school year will be my twelfth year of teaching first grade. I team teach with the wonderful Mrs. Amanda Jones. While Mrs. Jones teaches math, science and social studies, I teach reading, writing and language arts. I was honored to be named Hill City Elementary's Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year.
