Jennifer Halko, Principal
I am Jennifer Halko and I am thrilled to be a part of the Hill City Elementary Family! I have had the pleasure of working with students and teachers at Hill City Elementary since 2003. I truly value each student and teacher and am amazed daily at all the things that happen in our school. Being a part of a child's educational process is a great privilege with tremendous rewards and responsibility. As Principal, I will make every effort to support our students and teachers on their educational journey.
My own educational journey started in Pickens County. I am a Pickens native and have a deep-rooted, vested interest in our county. I graduated from Pickens High School where I met my husband, Jon. After graduation, I attended Kennesaw State College and later returned to Kennesaw University for Educational Leadership.
My husband and I have three wonderful children, 1 school-aged and 2 recent Pickens High School graduates. I understand the importance of their education and hope to project that feeling to every child in my care. My goal is to provide the best opportunities possible to challenge our students to reach their potential so the world opens up to them. I truly believe that people are our nation's greatest natural resource. We need to equip our children to lead happy and productive lives and to contribute positively to our world. I am very blessed to be working alongside Mrs. Kretschmar, our Assistant Principal, and the rest of the dedicated staff at Hill City. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any assistance.
"Work hard. Be nice to people."
